Cute little updates.
First, there is Ashley. She has been sweet lately. She wants to do everything like mommy, or have mommy do everything like her. For instance, if I (attempt) to put a bow in her hair, she picks one out for mommy to put in hers too. Or if mommy is putting something on, she wants it too. She also does it with Emily sometimes. The other night I had Emily in her room during story time before bed. We were on the floor, so Ashley was going through her drawers and picked out a hat to wear, then another one for her sister to wear too. Or if Ashley is dressed up in her tutu, she wants Emily to have her mini tutu on as well. It's cute.
It's also cool to see her recollection with things now. She has memories of things, even going back a few months. For instance, today is the 1 day a week she goes to "school". As we were driving there, she was talking about how she got a boo boo when someone bit her finger (this was at least 2-3 months ago).
She is also funny with Emily. Apparently the novelty has worn off. There are still plenty of times when she loves her and wants to play with her and help with things, but then there are other moments when Emily is cramping her style. For example, the night when she had hats on the two of them--she wanted to share and be the same with the hat thing, but when they were laying next to each other, Emily was reaching for her and apparently "in her space" and Ashley was making faces and turning away from her.
Ashley continues to have such a great personality--she is a happy go lucky kind of kid. She's fun, sweet, kind, outgoing, she loves to explore and is constantly on the move. She loves to learn and do all day long.
Emily continues to be a sweetie pie. She's always full of smiles, and looks into your eyes with such joy and love, it just melts my heart every time.
She loves to watch what everyone is doing. She loves her big sister and is intrigued by what she's doing. I bet she can't wait until she can play along with her!
Emily is getting close to rolling over, so that's a start. She's starting to be better with tummy time now, and doesn't scream as much as she would. And she loves to be on the floor in the middle of all the action at home and at play dates.

Ashley playing with her sister and singing to herI love my girls so much, and am so thankful for them each and every day. There are some hairy moments at times, but all in all it's wonderful.
