Christmas Recap

I'm catching up on a few big events...First is Christmas. Christmas was really nice. We celebrated with Matt's side the day before. We went over to Andrew and Lauren's for a late lunch, then we did our gift exchange. Afterward we went to their church to do a candlelight Christmas Eve service. I hadn't been to one of those in years, so I really enjoyed it.
Christmas morning we did our own thing....Ashley was up really early because she was excited. I think we got her to hold off until 6:30 before we all got up to open gifts. Lol. We had the tv "Christmas fire" and music going, and we opened gifts. I love watching the girls anticipation and excitement about it all. Afterward we spent the morning having a nice Christmas breakfast and then playing with our new toys.
Later on, our neighbors (and some of our better friends we've made) Becky and Seth (and of course Tyler) invited us to come over to their house for a couple hours. We visited with them and their families who are also very nice.
Then mom arrived. She came next-door for a little bit too, then we came back over to our house and did our gift exchange and had a very yummy Brisket dinner. We spent the evening relaxing together before bed. Emily topped off the night by climbing up on her changing table (while we thought she was sleeping) and getting into her diaper paste and eating some....yuck....lol. Never a dull moment in our household!

Mom stayed a few more days...we did some more Christmas type things--made fresh squeezed orange juice (one of mom's Christmas traditions while I was growing up), we made gingerbread houses and decorated gingerbread men.

It was a nice Christmas to remember.
