Baby Showers/ 28 Weeks: 10/9/10 & 10/10/10

This weekend was a lot of fun. We made our long trek up to NY and NJ for our baby showers. It was a lot of driving around, but it was worth it.

First, we had our shower in NY at Lillian's Restaurant in Saratoga. My mom, sisters, some aunts and cousins came; along with some of my good friends from up there. We had a nice brunch, played some fun games, opened gifts and caught up on things.

That night mom, Cheryl, and Kristyn threw me a mini "30th birthday" part with dinner and presents, and leftover cake from the shower.

Later that night we drove to NJ and stayed with Matt's brother, Andrew, and sister-in-law, Lauren. The next morning we made a quick stop to visit my dad in PA, where we had breakfast, talked, and opened gifts for Ashley.

Then off to NJ again for another shower with Matt's parents, grandfather, aunts, uncles and cousins, and some of our good friends. It was a great turnout! We had a nice lunch, visited and caught up with everyone, and opened gifts. We were so grateful to Matt's aunt and uncle for opening up their house to us for the party.

The next morning we stopped in Philly and had breakfast with Matt's grandfather before heading back on the road.

Although it was lots of driving and running around, it was so nice to be able to see most of our loved ones and share our excitement with them. Thank you so much to everyone who helped plan our showers, and to our friends and family for sharing in such a special time for us!

9-26-10, 26 Weeks!!

We visited our good friends Jen and Jim this weekend, and took this opportunity to get some pregnancy pics of the both of us. I'm 26 weeks pregnant (shy a day when pics were taken) and Jen was 11 weeks. We had such a fun weekend. Here are just a few of our photos that Jim took.

9-12-10, 24 Weeks!!

Here are some pictures from today at 24 weeks! Crazy how fast it's going!

The past couple of weeks I've felt Ashley moving/kicking a lot!!! When I first posted about possibly feeling a "flutter", I only felt it once or twice, and am still not sure if it was her actually moving. Then, a couple of weeks ago (Monday, August 30th to be exact) out of nowhere, I was sitting in my office with a client at work, and I felt her kick. Since then there has been no mistaking it--it's definitely her moving or kicking around...It's such a cool feeling, and makes pregnancy feel a lot more real! She is moving around a lot, and Matt has been able to feel her kicking a couple of times too, which he gets so excited about as well. Sometimes we'll be sitting on the couch watching a movie, and we'll take turns putting our hands on my belly to feel her.

All in all, I am feeling great these days. I've been doing yoga somewhat consistently, which I think has helped with some of the back pain. With the exception of getting tired earlier than usual, I feel like a normal human being with a moving belly! Haha. Ashley does have a habit of getting in a position from time to time that can be uncomfortable. I'm pretty sure it's her head since it's in the same spot for longer periods of time, but she keeps something resting up at the top of my uterus. As long as she's comfy! =)

I just feel so happy and blessed! I cannot wait to meet the little girl that I already love so much!
